It requires balancing athlete intent, consumer relevance, and business performance while maintaining a strong point of view on product and a deep understanding of apparel creation. The work involves navigating complexity across a worldwide portfolio and making sound decisions in situations with high visibility and strong expectations.
You should be able to build trust quickly across internal teams and external collaborators, communicate clearly, and bring a high standard of execution throughout the product lifecycle. A strong connection to sport and culture, curiosity, and a drive to create category-defining product are key to success.
Responsibilities

- Partner every day with Design, Development, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, and Brand teams to develop product concepts.
- Work with external athlete teams to convert authentic input into meaningful product stories.
- Own product creation from early concept through execution, keeping timelines, goals, and deliverables aligned.
- Develop and maintain line plans while driving seasonal strategies for assigned categories.
- Bring internal and external stakeholders into alignment through strong communication and relationship building.
- Track marketplace shifts and consumer behavior to identify future product opportunities.
- Move high-visibility apparel lines forward with a focus on product excellence and on-time delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of directly relevant experience in product management, merchandising, or consumer-focused roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, or a related discipline; equivalent education and experience combinations are also acceptable.
- Strong understanding of the apparel market, along with awareness of culture and fashion trends.
- Creative passion for product, trend direction, fashion, color, fit, and style.
- Clear understanding of the basketball consumer, including lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, fit expectations, and shopping behavior across performance and lifestyle categories.
- Proven ability to manage an apparel category end to end and shape multi-season strategy from long-term vision to in-market performance.
- Experience leading complex, high-profile product lines with global reach and meaningful business impact.
- Ability to translate athlete, consumer, and market insights into actionable product strategies and narratives.
- Strong knowledge of the product creation process from concept development through commercialization.
- Comfort working in a matrixed organization and influencing cross-functional partners to drive alignment and execution.
- Advanced business understanding, including line planning, retail math, and product performance analysis.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation ability for internal and external audiences.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
