Job description

About the Role

This position sits within the Marketing Solutions team and focuses on helping expand the platform’s position as a leading media channel for technology and financial services brands that want to reach professionals. The role is centered on building new business, especially among new buying groups, while working closely with a Client Solutions Manager who owns expansion within existing buying groups. Success in the role comes from collaboration, strong client relationships, and the ability to generate measurable growth for customers and the business.

The company emphasizes a culture grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment at work, with a strong focus on employee growth and creating opportunity for its members and workforce. The working model for this role is hybrid, meaning it will be carried out partly from home and partly from a company office on selected days based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers at client organizations and agencies, using LinkedIn’s solutions to show how they can support business growth.
  • Develop long-term relationships with executive stakeholders at the SVP, VP, and CMO level.
  • Take a consultative approach to uncovering and winning new buying groups to increase client spending.
  • Work across Insights, Marketing, Measurement, Content/Video Solutions, Sponsorships, Agency, and Product teams to shape campaign strategy, execution, and client outcomes.
  • Research industry trends and sector-specific context, then turn that information into clear narratives aligned with customer needs.
  • Represent the customer’s perspective when product or solution capabilities need to be adapted.
  • Create and pitch original, creative marketing ideas and solutions for major accounts.
  • Prepare and revise sales proposals while managing expectations of agencies and marketers with speed and flexibility.
  • Track, report, and forecast sales activity, including prospecting, opportunity management, deal closure, renewals, and pipeline planning.
  • Own revenue delivery and quota achievement with strong forecasting and gap-planning discipline.
  • Help strengthen a diverse and inclusive team culture and support junior sellers through mentoring and coaching.
  • Collaborate across the NAMER office footprint, especially with teams in similar verticals.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or media.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a quota-carrying sales role.
  • Experience creating business cases and preparing media advertising sales proposals.
  • Proven background in Financial Services and Technology, with strong knowledge of both B2C and B2B advertising sales.
  • Experience working with senior marketing leaders at VP level and above, with a track record of building authentic executive relationships.
  • Experience managing large enterprise accounts, typically 8 to 10 customers with multiple buying groups, and the ability to identify and develop new buyers within them.
  • Ability to connect customer challenges with business and product solutions to drive outcomes.
  • Strong organizational discipline, proactive planning habits, sales execution rigor, and leadership behaviors.
  • Solid understanding of ad technology, marketing automation, and B2B/B2C media measurement.
  • Strong pipeline management skills, including forecasting accuracy and account planning for go-to-market strategy.
  • Ability to use storytelling, insights, and data to guide strategic recommendations and next steps.
