About the Role

We represent a prominent independent Australian law firm seeking to expand its Sydney office by appointing a senior lawyer to the Litigation & Dispute Resolution team. This team is widely regarded among Australia's top legal practices, featuring highly respected and accomplished practitioners.

The practice spans diverse disputes including contractual disagreements, shareholder conflicts, breaches of directors' duties, regulatory probes including ASIC and ACCC investigations, Royal Commissions, and matters involving white-collar crime. The team holds strong recognition from respected legal directories.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage across all aspects of commercial dispute resolution.
• Collaborate closely with three leading litigators, while also working with other partners in the broader legal team.
• Handle a variety of cases, such as contractual disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, shareholder conflicts, breaches of directors' duties, and regulatory investigations.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years post-admission experience in commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated ability in managing a wide range of litigious matters including corporate and regulatory litigation.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
