Lawyer - Commercial Litigation with Focus on Insolvency, Property & Regulatory Matters

About the Role

Our client, a prominent national law firm, is seeking an accomplished Commercial Litigation Lawyer to enhance its distinguished Dispute Resolution & Litigation team based in Brisbane. This position offers the chance to engage with a diverse range of intricate commercial disputes representing national and international clients, listed corporations, private businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.

Main Duties

• Provide expert legal advice on intricate commercial disputes and litigation matters.
• Handle issues relating to contractual and commercial conflicts, property and leasing disagreements, as well as Corporations Act-related litigation including insolvency cases.
• Offer counsel on regulatory investigations, administrative law challenges, insolvency and recovery efforts, and disputes involving technology and intellectual property.
• Draft pleadings, legal submissions, evidentiary materials, and provide strategic guidance.
• Oversee litigation processes across all phases, including negotiations, mediations, and courtroom proceedings.
• Establish and nurture strong client partnerships while delivering practical and commercially astute legal advice.

Candidate Profile

• Between 2 and 5 years post-admission experience specializing in commercial litigation.
• Well-rounded expertise in diverse commercial dispute areas.
• Valuable experience in property law, insolvency proceedings, regulatory and administrative law, or technology-related disputes is highly desirable.
• Exceptional skills in drafting, advocacy, and legal analysis.
• Robust commercial acumen with capability to manage cases with increasing independence.
• Collaborative mentality coupled with a sincere ambition to develop a sustained career in commercial litigation.
