Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscaper who is enthusiastic about outdoor work in all weather conditions, including rain, shine, and snow. This role entails performing various landscaping maintenance duties alongside snow removal responsibilities. Candidates should have attention to detail, physical fitness, and enjoy working collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of assigned sites.
• Be available during flexible on-call hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, including weekends.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as skid steers, small tractors, and sweepers.
• Perform skid steer operation, maintenance, tune-ups, and handle attachments effectively.
• Remove heavy furniture, garbage, and appliances from residential suites and surrounding areas.
• Address Requests for Maintenance promptly.
• Perform snow and ice removal, sanding, salting, and maintain snow/ice logs.
• Manage lawn care including cutting, trimming, watering, edging, and weed control.
• Apply weed killers and fertilizers appropriately.
• Keep trees, hedges, and flowerbeds weed-free, trimmed, and remove dead trees as necessary.
• Sweep, wash, and maintain parking lots, including clearing debris from catch basins and marking lines.
• Repair and stain fences as required.
• Maintain building exteriors including clearing eaves, cleaning siding and signage, and ensuring lights are functional.
• Conduct seasonal clean-ups: spring activities like hazard line painting, irrigation start-up, power washing, planting, and pothole filling; fall tasks like leaf removal, irrigation winterization, and tree trimming.
• Perform basic maintenance on various landscaping equipment.
• Participate in painting tasks for halls, suites, parkades, and common areas.
• Complete additional duties and provide assistance across other sites when needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscaping services.
• Professional training and hands-on experience with landscaping machinery.
• Basic mechanical skills are considered an advantage.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Competence in operating skid steers and pay loaders.
• Experience with smaller equipment such as sweepers, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and small tractors.
• Familiarity with technology is beneficial.

Physical and Soft Skill Requirements

• Capability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift as much as 90kg (using appropriate equipment) for up to eight hours daily.
• Strong dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Effective time management abilities.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle for commuting.
