Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the onboarding and ongoing maintenance of both prospective and existing clients while ensuring that client information remains accurate and complete. The role sits within a capital markets environment and focuses on client due diligence, sanctions screening, and compliance-driven onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with prompt onboarding and account maintenance activities for new and current clients, making sure records stay accurate and reliable.
- Carry out initial due diligence reviews, gather refreshed KYC data, and complete sanctions and name-screening checks to meet legal and regulatory KYC obligations.
- Spot and escalate higher-risk indicators, including elevated-risk industries and client profiles, for enhanced due diligence in line with RBC’s risk appetite.
- Handle the collection of OTC derivative information tied to trade reporting and swap execution requirements.
- Perform both open-source and paid-source research to support onboarding decisions and documentation needs.
- Track and manage a live queue of requests, keeping workflow records current to improve operational efficiency.
- Organize work according to business deadlines and stay adaptable when urgent items require immediate attention.
- Keep correspondence, pipeline trackers, and KYC workflow systems up to date with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Act as a point of knowledge on customer due diligence requirements for internal teams and clients, based on policy and procedural standards.
- Communicate clearly and promptly by giving status updates and responding to queries within 24 to 48 hours.
- Work closely with business and compliance partners to resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate with KYC onboarding teams across regions to help maintain coverage across time zones.
- Contribute as part of a team to meet objectives and strengthen the knowledge base by updating internal training materials.
- Take part in same-day or after-hours testing for technology improvements when needed.
- Support ad hoc projects while sustaining strong productivity.

- Standard working time: 37.5 hours per week.
- Employment status: Full-time, regular position.
