Role overview

RBC is seeking a Home Advisor for its Advice Centre to support prospective home buyers across Canada. This role is part of a growing banking service focused on helping clients navigate their home-buying journey with personalized credit guidance, strong relationship management, and access to RBC specialists and partner teams.

This is a nationwide remote opportunity, and candidates from any region in Canada may apply.

What you’ll do

• Offer professional credit guidance to clients at different stages of the home-buying process, beginning with leads from digital home-affordability tools.
• Advise clients on home equity financing needs, including personal lending, credit cards, and day-to-day banking options.
• Create a consistent follow-up plan and keep systems accurately updated to support the client relationship.
• Strengthen relationships by helping clients move through awareness, research, evaluation of financing options, and the decision to apply for a mortgage.
• Use digital tools such as video meetings, screen sharing, and advisor dashboards to improve the client experience.
• Identify additional opportunities and connect clients with RBC partners when appropriate.
• Stay current on RBC policies and procedures and apply proper due diligence in every interaction.

Working schedule and location

This is a remote office role. You must be able to work from a private and quiet home workspace with reliable internet and the necessary technology. The schedule requires flexibility across Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time. Evening and weekend availability is required.

The position follows a 37.5-hour work week and is a regular full-time role.

What you need to bring

• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in financial services, with the ability to give complex credit advice, including mortgage-related support.
• A flexible, change-ready mindset and a consistent focus on delivering an excellent client experience.
• Strong relationship-building skills that create trust, loyalty, and long-term client engagement.
• Excellent communication, time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Comfort with digital tools and devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Ability to work independently from a home office as a remote employee.
• The capability to meet confidentiality and technical requirements, including having a secure private workspace and stable internet access.
• Bonus consideration for relationship management experience in financial services or another service-based industry.
• Interest in supporting clients through multiple channels such as phone, chat, and email.
