Job description
Role overview
Generate KiwiSaver Scheme is seeking a KiwiSaver Adviser for the Wairarapa region. This is a meaningful opportunity to help customers make stronger financial decisions by offering personalised guidance on KiwiSaver. The role gives you the flexibility to connect with people in their homes, by video, or over the phone, with the aim of helping them improve and optimise their KiwiSaver arrangements.
What you will do
- Provide limited-scope advice on Generate’s KiwiSaver scheme, including its features, benefits, and the fund choices available.
- Help customers build their understanding of savings and long-term growth so they can work toward the retirement lifestyle they want.
- Act as a reliable adviser by giving accurate product information while staying compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Develop referrals, strengthen relationships, and take part in community activities to expand your reach.
- Continue supporting customers as their personal circumstances change over time.
About the ideal candidate
You may already be an experienced financial adviser, have a background in financial services, or come from sales and relationship-focused roles in other industries. The company is looking for someone who is motivated to become a knowledgeable specialist in KiwiSaver and investments.
- Customer-focused, with experience in account management, sales, business development, broking, advising, or similar roles.
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial, with the confidence to manage your own time, look for new opportunities, and build business through community engagement and genuine relationships.
- Comfortable working within defined processes, maintaining high standards, and consistently prioritising the customer experience.
- Positive, adaptable, and open to feedback, with a mindset that treats challenges as opportunities to improve.
Additional requirements
- A clear credit history and a successful police check are required.
- You must have access to your own vehicle and smartphone to perform the role effectively.
- You should be willing to complete a Level 5 financial services certificate, which will be fully funded by the employer.
What’s on offer
- Uncapped earning potential with generous remuneration.
- Flexible working, with no traditional 9-to-5 office routine; you will spend time in the community or work from home while operating with the backing of an established brand.
- Sales support for appointment bookings, plus tools and technology to help you work efficiently.
- Strong marketing support focused on growing the brand.
- Training and development to help you get started, including funding for the Level 5 financial services certificate.
Application notes
Applicants need to live in the Wairarapa region and submit a CV along with a cover letter explaining their interest in the role and suitability. Candidates must also hold a valid visa allowing full-time work in New Zealand.
