Key Duties

• Efficiently clean pots, pans, utensils, and crockery during and after service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to high standards.
• Support chefs by performing simple food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning as required.
• Manage the receipt and appropriate storage of deliveries including stock rotation and handling cold and dry goods.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling following established kitchen protocols.
• Ensure adherence to HACCP and food safety regulations through regular cleaning and hygiene maintenance.
• Assist the wider kitchen team especially during busy service times.
• Notify the Head Chef promptly about any equipment faults or maintenance needs.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in kitchen or hospitality roles is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure within a fast-moving environment.
• Meticulous attention to cleanliness and overall kitchen hygiene.
• Team-oriented individual who maintains a positive and adaptable attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic understanding of food safety; HACCP training is advantageous or a willingness to undertake such training.
