Position Purpose

The role is focused on carrying out essential tasks in the Back of House department, ensuring that all safety and hygiene standards meet five-star expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene throughout all kitchen and back-of-house areas including washing, disinfecting, and polishing equipment, floors, and walls.
  • Adhere strictly to Health and Safety requirements, particularly COSHH and Manual Handling, participating in all necessary training.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing equipment for functions and maintaining inventory.
  • Manage refuse by emptying bins, sorting waste according to hotel policies, and keeping refuse zones tidy.
  • Support additional cleaning tasks during busy periods.
  • Help keep staff facilities, such as locker rooms, clean and orderly.
  • Consistently uphold personal hygiene and grooming standards.
  • Remain flexible and multi-skilled, ready to perform varying tasks as required to cater to guest and team needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Between 1 to 3 years of experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Competent communication abilities, both verbal and written at an intermediate level.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet quality deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Confident and engaging communicator across all organizational levels.
