Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and capable Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join our team at Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role involves ensuring all kitchen and laundry equipment and areas are properly maintained and cleaned, supporting smooth functionality and compliance with hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen and laundry machinery such as dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and cooking equipment.
• Carry out daily sanitation and cleaning duties in kitchen and laundry zones according to set procedures and timetables.
• Track inventory levels of cleaning materials and notify supervisors of shortages.
• Support the correct storage and organization of kitchenware, linens, and related supplies.
• Regularly inspect equipment for faults or maintenance requirements and report them promptly.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping personnel to promote seamless workflow and timely task completion.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene policies rigorously.
• Help train new employees regarding equipment handling and cleaning protocols.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, equipment upkeep, and supply inventories.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Competence in using diverse kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning and sanitization procedures.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills applicable to kitchen and laundry machines.
• Strong time management and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail with a dedication to upholding cleanliness standards.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for prolonged periods.
• Capable of working productively in a busy environment.
• Good communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Possession of food safety certification is preferred.
• Experience in kitchen or laundry roles, especially in hospitality or healthcare sectors, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE health and safety laws is a plus.
