Role Description

The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher position is a full-time, on-site role located in the Eastern Region. The teacher will lead a kindergarten classroom, ensuring a secure, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere. Responsibilities include designing and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the American curriculum and CCSS, incorporating play-based and inquiry learning approaches, and promoting early literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional growth. The role requires ongoing assessment through observation and formative tools, maintaining detailed records, and consistent communication with parents or guardians concerning student progress and classroom events. Collaboration with teaching peers and school leaders, participation in professional learning activities, and involvement in school programs are essential. Additionally, demonstrating respect for Islamic and local cultural principles while encouraging positive behavior and global mindedness in the classroom is fundamental.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficient instructional expertise in early childhood education encompassing lesson planning, classroom organization, and learning assessments.
• Fluent English communication skills adjusted for young learners with professional-level proficiency.
• Experience in crafting inclusive and nurturing classroom settings that foster social-emotional development and constructive behavior.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with staff, school leaders, and families to promote student achievement and school advancement.
• Understanding and respect for Islamic values and the local culture, integrating these into daily school life and classroom routines.
• A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related fields, with preference for those holding relevant teaching certifications.
• Previous experience teaching kindergarten or early years students in international or bilingual school contexts is advantageous.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development, openness to feedback, and active engagement in curriculum enhancement and training initiatives.
