Position Overview
As a District Coordinator with the Odisha Schools Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful adoption of the Khan Academy program in government schools across Nabarangpur and surrounding areas. This position requires extensive collaboration with school leadership, educators, and local education officials to drive effective implementation on the ground. Reporting to the Senior Program Lead, you will be the primary contact for district-wide coordination and execution.
Main Duties
- Oversee implementation of the Khan Academy program at the district level, ensuring all assigned schools understand and integrate the platform’s resources.
- Organize and facilitate teacher orientation and training sessions, both online and in-person.
- Follow up consistently with schools to secure ongoing, impactful usage of Khan Academy tools.
- Monitor usage data, track against preset objectives, and raise issues when gaps in implementation are identified.
- Build and sustain working relationships with District Education Officers, headteachers, and teaching staff to boost program impact.
- Conduct regular school visits to provide guidance and document program integration into classroom practices.
- Identify and resolve challenges related to program adoption and educator engagement.
- Gather feedback, usage reports, and field insights to contribute to strategic decisions and ongoing improvements.
- Maintain thorough records regarding training sessions, school interactions, and stakeholder meetings, and submit timely reports.
- Support internal teams with program needs, help resolve field-level issues, and drive process enhancements as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ relevant professional experience, ideally including work in education or in government schools in Odisha.
- Fluent proficiency in both Odia and English—spoken and written.
- Strong track record of forming collaborative relationships with a range of educational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to address practical implementation challenges and make mission-aligned decisions.
- Exceptional organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to manage tasks across multiple sites concurrently.
- Proficient at consolidating and presenting data as well as synthesizing qualitative feedback into actionable insights.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage diverse audiences including educators and officials.
- Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and environments quickly.
- Demonstrates high ownership, initiative, and desire to positively influence student outcomes.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned districts and be based in Nabarangpur or Keonjhar, Odisha.
- Genuine commitment to advancing educational opportunities and improving learning experiences for underserved students.
