Job Overview

The Key Leader plays a pivotal role within the store leadership team, directly influencing salesfloor operations and customer experiences. This role involves leading by example, mentoring Educators, ensuring excellent service standards, and managing the daily flow and functions of the retail environment. Key Leaders utilize performance metrics to prioritize tasks and adapt to a dynamic business setting.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Mentor and coach team members through direct feedback, career guidance, and performance support.
  • Recognize team accomplishments, identify skill gaps, and maintain performance records to encourage personal and professional development.
  • Facilitate the spread of product knowledge and company updates through effective communication channels.

Customer Experience Management

  • Oversee daily salesfloor activities by allocating team coverage and maintaining efficient operations.
  • Lead by example and coach staff to deliver outstanding customer interactions that respect guests' time and meet their needs.
  • Understand and assess distinct customer requirements to offer tailored purchasing and return solutions.
  • Formulate technical product education emphasizing value and benefits.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues or escalated concerns to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Remain mobile on the floor to respond to business, team, and customer demands effectively.

Collaboration and Workplace Environment

  • Promote a respectful, inclusive work atmosphere that celebrates diversity and supports engagement among team members and guests.
  • Build and maintain supportive and productive relationships with colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure exceptional guest experiences and smooth store operations.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Analyze business data to track goal progress and implement necessary changes.
  • Adhere to opening and closing store procedures and checklists.
  • Manage product presentation by replenishing, restocking, relocating inventory following company standards.
  • Assign cleaning tasks to maintain store's luxury atmosphere throughout shifts.
  • Ensure staff utilize store technology properly to enhance operations and guest interactions.
  • Comply with workplace safety protocols and all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.

People Management

This team leader role oversees a select group of store employees on the floor under delegation from the Store Manager.

  • Readiness to shift around the store throughout a shift, assisting guests and completing tasks.
  • Capability to lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
  • Comfortable working in an environment with bright lighting and loud music.
  • Previous work experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in retail or sales leadership for at least one year is a plus, though supervising is not mandatory.
