Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to cover the North of England region including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bradford, and extending towards Scotland. This full-time onsite position offers a balanced role consisting of managing an existing £2 million customer portfolio and developing new business opportunities particularly within healthcare and facilities management sectors.
Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture a portfolio of approximately 40 key accounts, focusing on building long-lasting customer relationships.
- Achieve growth in customer spend through a consultative sales approach.
- Identify and secure new clients including NHS Trusts, hospitals, and facilities management companies within the territory.
- Execute account development plans to maximize growth potential.
- Deliver professional presentations and product demonstrations.
- Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Lead generation, Sales Support, and Customer Service to ensure excellent service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in field sales, account management, or business development roles.
- Successful track record in growing existing accounts and acquiring new business.
- Experience selling consumable products in a B2B environment.
- Strong consultative sales skills with effective questioning, listening and negotiation abilities.
- Commercially aware with the ability to spot business opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce experience preferred.
- Experience or interest in healthcare, facilities management, cleaning or janitorial sectors is a plus.
- Self-driven, energetic, organised, and focused on building sustained customer partnerships.
