Role Purpose and Overview
This role exists to provide support to the 7IM Investment Management team. As a trainee, you will engage in substantial projects and work critical to business operations, helping you develop your skills and expertise. Throughout a 36-month period working across the Investment Management team, you'll collaborate with your manager to decide the direction for your career progression.
This position offers a foundational career start in investment management, allowing you to understand the company's culture, values, and how we deliver a highly regarded service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a 36-month rotational programme exposing you to multiple facets of the investment business, including Portfolio Management, Strategy, and Investment Solutions.
- Contribute actively across various departments, gaining practical experience through everyday operations and dedicated projects. Projects may be independent with team support or involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Perform tasks such as data gathering and analysis, report writing, reviewing diverse investment products, assisting with presentation preparations, and coordinating with other teams to fulfill client requirements.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously with precision and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling relationship building within the team and across the business.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Self-driven with the capacity to work independently and proactively.
- Robust numerical and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analytics.
- Basic understanding of the Investment and Wealth Management sectors.
Qualifications and Additional Information
- Degree-level education is required.
