Job description
Role overview
Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support a high-profile Homeland Security Investigations worksite enforcement mission focused on protecting the integrity of the U.S. labor force. In this role, you will work directly with HSI special agents and help analyze employment eligibility documents, business records, and government data to support national and international investigations.
This is a fast-moving, detail-sensitive position where your analytical work will contribute to enforcement outcomes such as Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other authorized actions. The opportunity also offers close mentorship from experienced investigators and a pathway toward more advanced compliance and investigative responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Review employer I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms, payroll records, corporate filings, and related employment records to identify possible compliance gaps and violations of federal immigration employment rules.
- Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover anomalies, patterns, and inconsistencies that support active and emerging investigations.
- Write accurate, well-structured case summaries, analytical reports, and findings that can stand up to review and directly inform worksite enforcement activity.
- Support liaison efforts that connect domestic and international investigative programs, initiatives, and partner organizations.
- Organize and maintain detailed case files in line with DHS/ICE data-handling and privacy requirements, while helping identify possible violations of federal employment eligibility and worksite compliance laws.
- Create briefing materials and other analytical support documents for site visits, enforcement actions, and senior leadership meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related subject.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical and research ability, with the capacity to review and synthesize large amounts of documentation and data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing formal analytical outputs and coordinating with federal law enforcement personnel.
- Ability to handle high-volume, accurate data entry from paper records into digital systems and run database queries across law enforcement and commercial platforms.
- Must be able to obtain and keep an ICE suitability determination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred: prior experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies, familiarity with Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, exposure to HSI/ICE/DHS operations, experience with sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled data, and proficiency with government databases or investigative case management systems.
