Position Overview
We are looking for candidates who possess strong analytical skills, programming knowledge, and business understanding to join our Portfolio Management team as Junior Analysts. The ideal candidates have academic backgrounds in finance, economics, or closely related areas, combined with proficient coding abilities. This role offers practical exposure to portfolio management, investment research, and decision-making driven by data in the private markets arena.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and consolidate private markets data from internal platforms such as MySQL databases, PDFs, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Create and validate financial models utilizing programming languages like Python, R, and VBA to aid investment decisions.
- Perform data analysis to detect patterns and trends in private markets.
- Assist portfolio management through conducting research and carrying out custom analysis projects.
- Effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders, documenting data processes, model logic, and programming code.
Candidate Profile
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Prior internship or employment experience in finance, consulting, or data analysis is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated competence in Python, R, or VBA for analytical tasks.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and private market concepts is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to critically evaluate one’s work alongside a growth-oriented attitude.
- A collaborative team player who can accept feedback constructively and contribute to collective objectives.
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms is a benefit.
- Enthusiastic about proactively taking on responsibilities, regardless of scale, in a dynamic work environment.
Compensation
The hourly pay for this position is $30.
