Role overview

This remote contract opportunity is focused on supporting the creation of advanced legal reasoning systems. The work centers on building realistic litigation exercises, assessing AI-generated answers, and supplying structured legal feedback that helps refine how future systems handle civil litigation analysis.

Compensation and commitment

The engagement pays between $100 and $150 per hour. A minimum availability of 15 hours each week is required.

Key responsibilities

• Create practical litigation scenarios based on real-world matters such as motions, discovery, depositions, briefs, and case planning.
• Develop reference-quality answers at an attorney level to use as evaluation benchmarks.
• Review model outputs using defined rubrics and accepted legal standards.
• Prepare written feedback that helps research teams improve reasoning quality and model behavior.
• Take part in onboarding and calibration sessions to keep evaluations aligned and consistent.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant brings substantial civil litigation experience from a law firm, public-sector body, or in-house legal team. A U.S. J.D. or an LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school is required, along with an active license to practice law. Strong written communication, careful attention to detail, and familiarity with niche litigation areas such as employment or patent disputes are valuable. Experience with e-discovery platforms like Relativity, document coding, and privilege review is also beneficial.
