Role Summary
The Junior Graphic Artist will support the creation and refinement of still and motion graphics for broadcast use. The role involves working closely with senior artists, handling asset management, and producing graphic packages that meet broadcast specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and editing of still and animated graphic content.
- Prepare graphic elements and motion graphic packages according to broadcast requirements.
- Assist senior artists with editing and proofreading tasks.
- Organize, archive, and retrieve graphic assets and project files as needed.
- Locate and request images from photo editors for use in projects.
- Handle additional duties and special assignments as required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts is required.
- At least 1 year of professional motion graphics experience in film, television, or advertising.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to work with different audio, video, and image file formats, including converting or compressing files to meet technical specifications.
- Willingness to work overtime and remain flexible with schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Cinema 4D.
- Comfortable performing under tight deadlines and making rapid same-day edits for broadcast content.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time onsite position that must be performed from an NBCUniversal-designated workplace in New York, NY.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $65,000 to $70,000. The position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and various discounts and other perks.
