The Dublin team comprises more than 170 professionals functioning within the Global Logistic and Supply Chain Centre, supporting Bulgari's worldwide operations.
Position Overview
We seek a Jewellery Quality Control Specialist for our Dublin site to organize and execute comprehensive quality checks on finished jewellery, components, and internal and external repair processes. This role involves upholding Bulgari's rigorous quality requirements and standards and includes mandatory training of 2-3 months in Italy with the principal jewellery quality control team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply established quality standards to finished jewellery products and supervise related internal inspection procedures.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Italian Quality Control team to align quality practices.
- Manage and address quality issues reported by the Italian team promptly.
- Collaborate with polishing teams, providing necessary feedback for production refinement.
- Prioritize workload efficiently based on supply chain planning demands.
- Ensure proper and timely recording of Quality Control data and reports in the relevant systems to enable effective reporting.
- Continuously assess and enhance Quality Control procedures while ensuring their adherence throughout processes.
- Evaluate inspection results relative to Bulgari’s quality benchmarks and support ongoing system improvements.
- Create and track metrics and KPIs that assess the Quality Control process's success and propose improvements to increase compliance rates.
- Promote the ongoing elevation of Bulgari's product quality to sustain its market prestige.
- Engage with cross-functional teams on initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Assist in business events and tours showcasing quality assurance practices and offer expert consultations.
- Participate in annual refresher training sessions in both Italy and Dublin.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven passion and extensive hands-on experience in large-scale jewellery manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of raw materials, semi-finished and finished jewellery products.
- Expertise in handling precious metals such as gold and platinum.
- Strong understanding of gemstones and diamonds.
- Familiarity with production techniques including goldsmithing, polishing, casting, soldering, stone setting, plating, and hallmarking.
- Proficiency with jewellery inspection tools like loupes, mandrels, and calipers.
- Expertise in jewellery industry quality control standards and quality management systems.
- Experience with incoming and in-process quality control methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.
- Minimum three years’ experience in a jewellery quality role and at least five years managing workshop operations.
