Job description
Role Overview
This full-time evening position is part of the Environmental Services team at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. The purpose of the role is to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized setting for patients, visitors, and staff in line with the organization’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed room cleaning by following established training and policy procedures so that all assigned areas, fixtures, and surfaces are cleaned each day or as needed within required timeframes.
- Follow infection prevention rules and related safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain respectful working relationships and communicate appropriately with departments, residents, families, and coworkers, while responding courteously to requests.
- Escalate issues encountered during routine housekeeping tasks to the Housekeeping Supervisor only.
- Complete other related tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to perform housekeeping-related duties and responsibilities.
- Physical capability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
Compensation
The posted hourly pay range is $16.20 to $19.74. Pay is determined by experience, skills, and education, and the effective hourly equivalent may be used for exempt roles under FLSA rules. The range may also differ by location.
