Role Overview

Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, the IT Applications Specialist will support the successful delivery of Operations projects while acting as a business partner to the operations function. The role is primarily centered on SAP MTD and PTP, including MM, PP, PM, QM, and WM, and plays an important part in supporting users and helping advance the company’s operations technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage SAP project delivery from initial requirements gathering through testing, training, and final deployment.
• Help define business needs and compare them against the standard capabilities of SAP MTD/PTP solutions.
• Review operational requirements and pinpoint any differences between business expectations and SAP functionality.
• Act as the first escalation contact for application issues and IT or business process concerns.
• Work with global and local process owners to shape and implement improved, future-oriented operational processes.
• Guide business stakeholders on what the systems can do and where current processes may need adjustment.
• Build understanding across business functions to coordinate the applications and processes that support daily operations.
• Support the team in evaluating the impact, urgency, and priority of incidents and enhancement requests raised by the business.
• Conduct regular user training and keep documentation current and accurate.
• Promote innovation and ongoing improvement within the IT Operations environment.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Technology.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of SAP H4HANA or ECC, especially in MTD/PTP-related modules such as MM, PP, QM, PM, and WM.
• A solid grasp of operations and manufacturing business processes.
• Demonstrated project management experience with a track record of delivering on schedule.
• Mandatory certification in one of the SAP operations modules.
• Excellent organizational ability, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders from varied functions and backgrounds, including Operations and IT.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team while building positive relationships.
• Fluency in English; French will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and time-management abilities.
• Experience or knowledge in process integration and cloud integration would be an asset.
