Role overview
Vitaco is seeking an experienced IS Senior Systems Analyst to own service desk operations, infrastructure support, and ongoing improvement within the IS environment. This is a practical, high-impact position focused on delivering dependable IT service and operational support across the business.
You will help keep the organisation’s standard operating environment stable and efficient, with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and a smooth experience for end users. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and the broader IS function to improve service delivery and support critical systems.
The position is described as Auckland-based, full-time, and permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main escalation contact for IT support, providing Level 1 through Level 3 assistance across systems.
- Oversee service desk activity so incidents and requests are handled in line with SLAs and proper priority.
- Track and support infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments, including M365, Azure, and endpoints.
- Drive issue resolution through root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods.
- Handle asset management, hardware rollouts, and adherence to system configuration standards.
- Work with vendors and stakeholders to deliver dependable IT services and solutions.
- Contribute to IS projects, system upgrades, and change activities.
- Support junior colleagues through mentoring, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll need
- At least 5 years of experience in IT support or systems analysis in a corporate or SME setting.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Windows, M365, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange, and SharePoint.
- Good working understanding of infrastructure and networking topics such as DNS, DHCP, firewalls, WLAN, and Active Directory.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to improvement.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong customer service focus.
- An IS/IT tertiary qualification or equivalent experience; ITIL knowledge or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
