Job description
The opportunity
Vitaco is looking for a People & Culture Coordinator who enjoys working with people as much as working accurately and efficiently. In this role, you will join a values-driven People & Culture team that helps shape culture, supports positive change, and works closely with leaders to do right by employees. The function is built on trust, ownership, and accountability.
This position suits someone with strong attention to detail, comfort using systems and data, and a real interest in managing the employee journey from start to finish. It is a chance to contribute meaningfully, strengthen your capability, and grow in a supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
You will provide coordination and administrative support across the employee lifecycle and act as a reliable first contact for process-related People & Culture questions.
- Serve as the initial contact for business queries related to People & Culture processes, offering prompt, accurate guidance.
- Coordinate People & Culture activity across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, employment changes, leave, and exits.
- Assist with delivery of organisational development, learning and development, and wider People & Culture initiatives.
- Manage content and announcements across internal communication channels and digital platforms.
- Prepare recurring reports and insights on people metrics.
- Keep employee files and records accurate, current, and securely maintained in both paper and electronic formats.
- Support employment relations administration and related initiatives.
- Assist with payroll administration and processing when needed, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
What you will bring
The role calls for a detail-oriented coordinator with relevant HR experience in New Zealand and the confidence to work across multiple systems and stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in human resources, psychology, or a related business field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a People & Culture or HR coordination role in New Zealand, ideally in a busy environment.
- Experience using HRIS platforms; exposure to payroll support is an advantage.
- Strong administrative and coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced capability with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- A collaborative, proactive approach, sound values alignment, and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
