About the Program
The WSO Global Talent Program is a distinctive 10-week virtual internship designed to provide intensive, practical experience and elevate your resume in the field of investment banking. This selective initiative collaborates with boutique investment banks across major financial centers including the US, UK, APAC, Europe, and MENA, offering only two participant spots per quarter in each geographic area to ensure focused mentorship and meaningful work exposure.
Program Structure and Learning Goals
- Weeks 1-2 – Intensive Financial Training: Engage in a rigorous introductory phase covering essential investment banking skills such as three-statement financial modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, trading comparables, precedent transactions, advanced Excel and PowerPoint techniques, plus industry research and sourcing strategies.
- Weeks 3-10 – Hands-On Experience: After successful completion of training and evaluations, interns are paired with a Managing Director or Partner at a boutique investment bank to contribute to live projects. Key tasks include pitch book creation, valuation analysis (Comps and DCFs), financial modeling, sourcing and due diligence, company and industry research, and supporting active deal processes.
- Mentorship and Feedback: Partner firms provide structured guidance with a minimum of one weekly 30-minute call dedicated to reviewing deliverables, offering feedback, and directing further development.
