About the Role
Our client is a respected international private equity firm expanding its operations. They seek an Investment Associate with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience to join their investment team, focusing primarily on funds-of-funds investment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, verify, and analyze data related to private equity and venture capital fund investments.
- Monitor portfolio performance, track critical metrics, and produce regular performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct financial analyses for primary and secondary private equity and venture capital fund investments.
- Assess direct co-investment opportunities by evaluating business fundamentals, financial forecasts, and potential returns.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentations for Investment Committee meetings.
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze various product structures and fund return profiles.
- Use modeling techniques and scenario analyses to inform investment decisions.
- Create portfolio analytics to offer insights into performance, risk, and exposure.
- Support new product launches through analytical tasks including stress testing and sensitivity analyses.
- Collaborate with investment and product teams in developing and structuring investment products.
Candidate Profile
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Practical experience in portfolio management, financial analysis, or modeling analytics is essential.
- Strong passion for finance, particularly private equity and venture capital.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience or exposure to financial modeling techniques such as discounted cash flow (DCF), fund cash flow modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages such as R or data analytics tools like Power BI is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills capable of clearly conveying complex information.
