Role overview

This is a senior, highly practical Head of Operations position within a growing financial institution. The successful candidate will lead the operations function with a focus on derivatives exchange operations and will also contribute as part of the senior executive team.

What you will do

• Lead an operations team responsible for derivatives exchange operations.
• Own and drive operations-focused projects and improvement initiatives.
• Support the rollout of stronger capabilities and better efficiency across the operations function.
• Prepare recommendations and presentations for senior leadership.
• Direct and execute systems transformation and implementation work.
• Handle additional strategic assignments as assigned by senior management.

Experience and background needed

• You should bring at least 18 years of operations experience, including leadership of a team that covers derivatives operations.
• Practical experience in derivatives operations within a futures exchange and clearing house is essential.
• Proven involvement in operations project management and systems implementation is required.
• The role calls for a very hands-on senior professional.
• Strong stakeholder management ability is important.
• You must be adaptable, agile, flexible, and commercially driven.
• Good presentation and communication skills are expected.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills are required.
