Role overview

JPMorganChase is hiring for multiple Equity Capital Markets positions in New York. The role sits within investment banking and focuses on end-to-end transaction execution, client engagement, and capital markets advisory work.

What you will do

  • Support the full transaction life cycle, including the creation of marketing materials, review and preparation of financial analysis, client presentations, and daily execution work.
  • Build content for strategic client discussions related to ECM and broader capital markets activity.
  • Work closely every day with senior bankers and client management teams to progress ECM transactions and evaluate strategic alternatives.
  • Lead and review detailed valuation work, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and leveraged buyout analysis.
  • Lead and review combination analyses and other financial modeling used in pitch processes and M&A-related situations.
  • Maintain active communication with buy-side investor clients.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to Associates and Analysts.
  • Take part in graduate recruiting efforts.

Qualifications and experience

The position requires a bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field, along with 3 years of experience in the role offered or in an Investment Banking Equity Capital Markets, Corporate and Investment Bank Analyst, or similar position.

Technical and domain expertise

  • 3 years of experience originating, executing, issuing, and syndicating equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, and convertibles, with a primary focus on Digital Assets, blockchain-enabled companies, FinTech, and financial institutions.
  • Experience analyzing IPO pricing using order book construction, investor demand forecasting, allocation modeling, oversubscription analysis, and price sensitivity assessment.
  • Ability to assess equity market risk, volatility, and market impact when determining transaction timing and pricing.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. equity capital markets regulations, including SEC registration, FINRA rules, Reg M stabilization, and compliance requirements for FinTech and Digital Asset issuers.
  • Understanding of Digital Asset and blockchain-enabled business models such as crypto exchanges, custodians, financial infrastructure providers, and payments platforms in a public markets context.
  • Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, Dealogic, CMG, Refinitiv, and PitchBook for market data, peer benchmarking, investor mapping, issuance tracking, and league table analysis.
  • Ability to build advanced financial models and company valuations in Excel, including DCF, transaction comparables, trading comparables, shareholder analysis, and execution timelines.
  • Experience using large language model platforms to streamline market research, draft transaction materials, and improve data analysis workflows.
  • Ability to manage the investment transaction lifecycle through deal and operational platforms such as P1.

Location and travel

The job is based at 270 Park Ave., New York, NY 10179. The position requires up to 10% domestic travel and 5% international travel to JPMC sites.

Compensation and benefits

This is a full-time role with a salary of $225,000 per year. JPMorganChase provides a competitive total rewards package, which may include base salary aligned to role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may also receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation in cash or forfeitable equity.
