Role overview
An international investment bank is looking to hire an Associate for its Healthcare Investment Banking team in Frankfurt. The team advises private equity firms, founder-led companies, and corporates on intricate M&A and strategic advisory mandates across Europe. This position offers close collaboration with experienced bankers, frequent cross-border deal exposure, and regular interaction with senior clients and decision-makers. Prior experience in healthcare is beneficial, though not mandatory; candidates with strong M&A execution backgrounds from any sector and a desire to deepen their healthcare expertise are encouraged to apply.
What you will do
- Run buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions within the healthcare space.
- Develop, assess, and refine advanced financial models, valuation work, and transaction documents.
- Draft pitch materials, information memoranda, management presentations, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Carry out sector and company analysis to support live deals and business development efforts.
- Help manage due diligence workstreams and coordinate with clients, investors, and external advisers.
- Assist senior bankers with sourcing new opportunities and nurturing client relationships.
- Guide and support junior team members in their development.
Candidate profile
The role calls for someone with 2 to 6 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance. Applicants should currently be at Associate level or be a high-performing Analyst ready for promotion. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills are essential, along with a track record of executing transactions. Healthcare exposure is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will also bring strong commercial judgement, confident client-facing skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a demanding environment, fluent German and English, and an excellent academic record.
