Role overview

This opportunity is suited to a driven, detail-oriented graduate who wants hands-on exposure to investment banking and wider corporate finance work. The position focuses on analytical support for financial projects, transaction work, and strategic initiatives within a collaborative team environment.

What you will do

  • Support financial analysis tasks across investment banking, corporate finance, and capital-raising activities.
  • Build and maintain valuation models, financial forecasts, budgets, and profitability analyses.
  • Review market, industry, and economic data to identify trends and business opportunities.
  • Assist with the assessment of investment proposals, strategic transactions, and business performance.
  • Prepare financial presentations, reports, and transaction materials for internal and external use.
  • Carry out company and industry research to support decision-making and deal evaluation.
  • Help with due diligence, financial records, and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to projects involving mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance, restructuring, or related advisory work where relevant.
  • Work with finance, strategy, legal, compliance, and business teams to gather information and develop insights.
  • Suggest process improvements that strengthen reporting quality and analytical efficiency.

What the role requires

  • A bachelor’s qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, or a closely related field.
  • Progress toward or completion of professional credentials such as CFA, FMVA, CPA, ACCA, or similar finance certifications is beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation, financial statements, capital markets, and investment concepts.
  • Comfort with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, and market research.
  • Awareness of M&A, equity and debt markets, investment analysis, or financial advisory work is an advantage.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exposure to financial databases, business intelligence tools, or modelling platforms is helpful.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, numerical ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational habits.
  • Clear written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to keep learning.
