Role Overview
The position of Investment Banking Analyst / Compliance Manager entails providing critical support through financial analysis, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance oversight, ensuring robust business operations while adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This dual-responsibility role merges analytical skill with risk management to promote strategic financial initiatives and uphold a reliable compliance framework.
Key Duties
- Perform detailed financial analyses, market research, and evaluations of companies and industries.
- Develop financial models, conduct valuation assessments, and generate comprehensive presentation documents to facilitate investment decisions and business strategy.
- Support due diligence, manage transaction-related documentation, and coordinate activities related to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate finance projects as necessary.
- Design, implement, and monitor compliance guidelines, internal control mechanisms, and risk management procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Conduct reviews of business functions to detect compliance risks, execute internal audits, and provide recommendations to enhance governance and operational integrity.
- Assist with regulatory filings, audit preparations, policy development, and promote compliance awareness among employees.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, and senior management stakeholders to sustain alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations, financial markets, and industry best practices to support effective decision-making and maintain an up-to-date compliance program.
Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles, including financial analysis, valuation techniques, capital markets, and investment banking operations.
- Expertise in interpreting financial statements, market data, and preparing structured financial reports and presentations.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, internal controls, and risk management practices relevant to financial institutions.
- Capability to identify compliance risks and devise actionable solutions to improve regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software, financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools; familiarity with financial databases and compliance monitoring systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities to assess complex financial and regulatory information effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including preparing professional documentation and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Attention to detail, integrity, sound judgment, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
