Position Summary
Join a distinguished European private equity firm located in Munich, Germany, as an Investment Associate or Vice President specializing in mid-cap investments. This role offers the chance to collaborate with an experienced investment team to assess and execute deals across multiple sectors within the DACH region, while also aiding portfolio companies to drive their growth strategies.
Main Duties
- Conduct evaluation and execution of private equity investments across diverse industries.
- Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and commercial due diligence reports.
- Create comprehensive investment committee materials, presentations, and memoranda.
- Perform thorough market research, industry assessments, and identify potential investment targets.
- Engage in transaction execution activities including buy-side processes, negotiation, and due diligence.
- Collaborate closely with management teams of portfolio companies on strategic and operational projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with company founders, advisors, banks, and other investment sector professionals.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 2 and 7 years of relevant experience within top-tier investment banks, strategy consulting firms, or private equity funds.
- Demonstrated expertise in transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong commercial awareness coupled with close attention to detail.
- Fluent proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields, accompanied by outstanding academic performance.
- Capability to excel in a dynamic, fast-moving entrepreneurial setting.
