Senior Associate - M&A Advisory in Industrials & Technology

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate or Associate to join the M&A Advisory team within a leading international investment bank, located in Frankfurt am Main. This role is tailored for professionals experienced in managing live mergers and acquisitions transactions, especially within the Technology and Industrials sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute domestic and international buy-side and sell-side M&A deals from origination stage through to completion.
• Develop and analyze complex financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), trading comparables, transaction comparables, and leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses.
• Create pitch books, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, and materials for investment committees.
• Coordinate due diligence processes involving clients and external consultants.
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers, corporate clients, and private equity investors throughout deal lifecycle.
• Support business development activities and nurture client relationships.

Candidate Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in M&A execution within Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, or Corporate Finance environments.
• Proven track record working on live buy-side and/or sell-side transactions.
• Sector expertise or experience in Technology and/or Industrials sectors.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, LBO).
• Exceptional analytical, commercial awareness, and communication skills.
• Fluent German language skills at C1/C2 level and fluent English are mandatory.
• Applicants lacking relevant M&A transaction experience or required German language proficiency will not be considered.
