Investment Associate / Vice President - Renewable Energy

About the Role

A prominent investment platform specializing in renewable energy is expanding its investment team in Munich by hiring an Associate / Junior Vice President. The company invests in diverse assets related to renewable energy and the energy transition, including onshore wind farms, solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage, and related sustainable infrastructure projects.

As part of a small and dynamic team, you will engage across the entire investment lifecycle, supporting both acquisitions and greenfield developments, as well as platform investments focused on Germany and Poland.

Main Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential investment opportunities within renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors.
• Lead complex financial modeling, valuations, and investment analyses for acquisition and development deals.
• Assist in executing transactions by managing due diligence processes, deal structuring, and negotiations.
• Develop materials such as investment committee papers, presentations, and recommendations for investment decisions.
• Collaborate closely with technical, development, and fund management teams during the investment process.
• Contribute to competitive bidding processes and bilateral mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Candidate Requirements

• A professional experience between 2 to 7 years within investment banking, infrastructure investing, or private equity.
• Preference for candidates with familiarity in renewable energy, infrastructure, energy transition sectors, or project finance.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and analytical problem-solving.
• Previous involvement in M&A, infrastructure deals, or project finance transactions.
• Fluency in German is mandatory.
• Commercially minded individuals who thrive in fast-paced and cooperative environments.
