Overview
A prominent global investment firm is broadening its European Credit division, seeking an Investment Associate for its Dublin office. The role involves active participation in leveraged loan, high-yield bond, and direct lending deals within Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze investments spanning both liquid and private credit sectors.
- Create comprehensive financial models and develop documentation for the investment committee.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of financial statements, balance sheets, and creditworthiness.
- Carry out thorough commercial and financial due diligence on target companies and relevant industries.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of corporate leadership teams.
- Examine potential investment opportunities and present detailed proposals to the Investment Committee.
- Track and review the ongoing performance of portfolio holdings, identifying significant risks and prospects.
- Participate in discussions with management teams from prospective portfolio companies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between three to five years of experience in investment, corporate finance, M&A, transaction services, leveraged finance, investment banking, or valuation roles.
- Outstanding academic credentials; possession of a professional qualification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modelling techniques.
- Excellent communication capabilities combined with a high level of self-drive.
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for financial markets.
