Role overview
This part-time Investment Analyst position is based in Dubai and follows a hybrid work arrangement, combining office-based work with remote/home flexibility. The successful candidate will help identify and assess investment opportunities, review financial performance, and provide analytical input that supports sound investment decisions.
What you will do
- Research potential investments and evaluate their suitability.
- Examine financial statements and use modelling techniques to support analysis.
- Monitor portfolios and track ongoing performance.
- Draft short investment reports, memos, and presentation materials.
- Assist senior colleagues with market and sector research.
- Work with stakeholders to better understand investment goals and priorities.
- Keep dashboards and core data sets current and accurate.
- Support risk reviews and performance assessments.
- Manage several assignments at once while meeting agreed deadlines.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members and stakeholders.
What the role calls for
- A strong base in investments and portfolio management, including the ability to weigh risk versus return and contribute to allocation decisions.
- Good quantitative and analytical ability, with confidence in interpreting data and applying critical thinking to complex financial information.
- Solid understanding of finance and financial modelling, along with spreadsheet proficiency and familiarity with valuation methods such as DCF and comparable analysis.
- Ability to produce well-structured investment memos, reports, and presentations, supported by strong written and spoken communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CFA progress or certification is considered an advantage.
- Comfort working in a hybrid Dubai-based setup and handling part-time responsibilities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, sound ethical judgment, and awareness of regional and global capital markets.
- Previous internship or analyst experience will be helpful.
