About the Role
Join a specialized infrastructure investment team in London focusing on critical digital infrastructure and real assets. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the entire investment process, engaging from initial evaluations to portfolio management. This role offers hands-on exposure to live deals and ongoing opportunities across Europe and select global markets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial models addressing acquisition scenarios, financing structures, operational forecasts, return metrics, and valuation sensitivities.
- Conduct thorough commercial, financial, operational, and market due diligence on potential investments, identifying principal value drivers and risk factors.
- Assist in all phases of investment execution including screening, valuation, due diligence, financing arrangements, documentation, and deal closure.
- Prepare detailed materials for investment committees and present findings to internal and external stakeholders, including market research and financial analyses.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts with various advisers such as legal, financial, tax, technical, and commercial experts, managing transaction-related workflows.
- Support continuous portfolio monitoring activities, including performance evaluation, strategic planning, budgeting, and assessing prospects for follow-on investments or exits.
- Perform in-depth research on infrastructure sub-sectors, market competition, regulatory environment, and prospective acquisition targets.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 1 and 3 years' experience in a reputable investment bank, M&A advisory firm, corporate finance department, or a similarly transaction-driven setting.
- Proficient in constructing detailed financial models and performing valuations independently, with a solid grasp of financial statements and corporate finance principles.
- Understanding of transaction structures and investment return calculations.
- Experience or interest in sectors such as infrastructure, telecommunications, technology, or energy is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to assess intricate investment cases.
- Effective communication skills, comfortable generating clear and business-oriented investment documents.
- A proactive, intellectually curious attitude with a passion for private equity and infrastructure investment.
- Fluent English language proficiency is essential.
