Role Overview
This position sits within the POS channels department and reports to the Manager, Hardware Operations. The Inventory Support Officer will help manage stock administration, maintain accurate inventory records, and support the day-to-day flow of hardware inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Track hardware inventory levels and help ensure stock is available and correctly recorded.
- Support the issuing and distribution of devices to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Prepare inventory reports and review stock data to identify trends and gaps.
- Keep transaction records accurate and work to resolve any discrepancies or inconsistent data.
- Look for ways to improve inventory processes, including better procedures, stronger data quality, and more efficient workflows.
- Share inventory updates, availability status, and related concerns with internal teams as needed.
- Follow company policies, operational procedures, and applicable industry requirements related to inventory control.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior exposure to inventory management or a similar role.
- Strong analytical ability and a problem-solving mindset, especially when reconciling stock issues.
- Comfortable using inventory management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry and record maintenance.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with different teams.
- Understanding of stock control principles, inventory methods, and valuation approaches.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
