Position Overview
Mancon Inc. is seeking a dedicated Inventory Manager to oversee warehouse and distribution activities supporting government operations. This role is integral to mission readiness by ensuring precise inventory management, facilitating smooth material flow, and consistently meeting operational performance criteria in a high-volume government logistics setting. The successful candidate should have excellent organizational and analytical capabilities, adeptness in managing changing operational tasks, and experience with inventory control and warehouse operations within automated logistics environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory operations related to government-owned mission stock.
- Supervise staff conducting Warehouse Management System (WMS) inventories, resolving inventory discrepancies, and maintaining thorough documentation of inventory gains and losses through causal and denial research as well as item data upkeep.
- Ensure that inventory accuracy of government mission stock aligns with Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs) as specified in contractual agreements.
- Organize the allocation of personnel, equipment, facilities, and materials in line with forecasted workloads on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Set deadlines, priorities, and workflow sequences according to overarching schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager or their alternate.
- Adjust workforce deployment and resource distribution to handle unexpected tasks and daily workload variations efficiently.
- Plan current and future work schedules, supplying workload metrics, estimating staffing requirements, and proposing optimized scheduling solutions.
- Monitor and ensure all tasks are executed properly and efficiently following the contract's terms and conditions.
- Utilize the WMS and other government data systems to fulfill operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience utilizing Defense Logistics Agency's Warehouse Management System (WMS) or an equivalent automated WMS within the last five years for inventory purposes.
- Possession of a Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Capability to acquire and sustain a forklift certification.
Physical Demands
- Perform medium work involving exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
