About the Role
Join Stanley Black & Decker as an Inventory Lead based in Auckland, New Zealand. This permanent, on-site position provides an opportunity to contribute to one of the globe's largest tool companies known for renowned brands such as DEWALT®, BLACK+DECKER®, and STANLEY®. You will play a crucial role in managing inventory control efforts to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity within the distribution centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage inventory control processes including cycle counting, product slotting, stock consolidation, replenishment, receipt, reconciliation, reporting, and SKU data maintenance.
- Continuously monitor storage and inventory systems to ensure supply needs are fulfilled and stock levels are efficiently maintained.
- Develop and execute plans to sustain necessary stock quantities at the lowest possible cost.
- Support and facilitate the annual stock take, ensuring prompt investigation and resolution of inventory adjustments.
- Identify system and process improvement opportunities within the distribution centre and collaborate with IT and stakeholders to implement these enhancements.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or similar distribution centre environments.
- Proficient with SAP, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical capabilities for identifying discrepancies, diagnosing root causes, and driving continuous process improvements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in tasks.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships across teams.
