This internship within the Global Commercial Banking (GWB) Data Production & MIS team offers a unique chance to engage hands-on with data-driven decision making. Interns will aid in the transformation of raw data into actionable business intelligence through dashboard creation and analytical projects, gaining exposure to the full cycle of data analysis from acquisition to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, upkeep, and migration of business intelligence dashboards to Power BI, ensuring documentation of workflows.
- Support data extraction, cleaning, manipulation, and exploratory analysis utilizing non-sensitive datasets.
- Perform research and studies using internal and external industry data to provide business insights and identify opportunities.
- Investigate and suggest advanced analytical or data science methods to enhance analytical initiatives.
- Participate in testing, refining data and analytics applications and assisting in various ad-hoc tasks.
Work Environment
You will collaborate with a data analytics team that interacts closely with multiple business units across Global Commercial Banking. The focus is on creating scalable dashboards, optimizing data processes, and enabling strategic decisions powered by data. The environment values curiosity, precision, and ongoing learning.
Candidate Profile
- Current undergraduate or postgraduate student.
- Strong interest in data analytics, business intelligence, or applied data-driven projects.
- Experience or familiarity with data analysis is preferred.
- Comfortable with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Exposure to dashboarding tools, particularly Power BI, is beneficial.
- Detail-oriented with high analytical capabilities and a proactive learning attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on diverse projects.
