Job description
Role Overview
As the International WasteFlow Manager specializing in hazardous waste, you will oversee the acquisition and marketing of important waste fractions with both established and new partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect producers and processors of hazardous waste, ensuring legal compliance and economically sound utilization of various waste types and qualities from relevant supplier markets.
- Develop comprehensive strategies to enhance customer-side waste management systems.
- Negotiate purchase and sales terms, finalize contracts focusing on solid and liquid hazardous waste from the chemical, pharmaceutical sectors, and secondary customers, while maintaining profitability and expanding procurement and processing channels.
- Serve as a primary contact and networker internally and externally, coordinate involved stakeholders, manage domestic and international suppliers and clients, and continuously optimize waste stream contracts through monitoring and controlling.
- Track market changes and trends to guide strategic purchasing and marketing, considering applicable regulations, norms, and process improvement opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Completed commercial training and/or degree in business administration, supplemented with in-depth knowledge of waste law, waste management, industry sectors, and market insights.
- Relevant experience in waste flow management with a focus on hazardous materials.
- Fluency in German and English; proficient in Google Workspace, SAP knowledge is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively to support partners on-site.
