Department Overview
Silvus Technologies focuses exclusively on providing advanced Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) radios using proprietary Mobile-Networked MIMO waveforms. These radios support mission-critical communications in extreme environments, from underground tunnels to high-altitude applications. Their StreamCaster™ radios are widely embraced by defense departments, law enforcement agencies, and industry leaders for drones, robotics, and unmanned systems.
Role Summary
The International Sales Engineer will work closely with sales, marketing, and business development teams to deliver customized technical solutions involving Silvus' cutting-edge multi-antenna MIMO radios and mesh network systems. Responsibilities include technical sales support, conducting live demonstrations, troubleshooting, and contributing to product enhancements. The role is suited for an entrepreneurial technologist who enjoys extensive customer interaction and international travel. This fully remote position requires candidates to be based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance such as system planning, user training, and optimization.
- Develop expertise in Silvus radio/network operations and their advantages over competitors.
- Lead product demonstrations and equipment trials during customer engagements.
- Deliver on-site technical support and training to customers.
- Diagnose and resolve onsite malfunctions or abnormalities.
- Gather and report field performance issues to product development teams.
- Coordinate resource allocation and hardware upkeep to support sales functions.
- Assist engineers in problem replication and troubleshooting to influence future developments.
- Travel up to half the time for meetings, events, and demos globally.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, with minimum 2 years of relevant pre- and post-sales experience; alternatively, a secondary education equivalent and at least 6 years of related experience.
- Experience using radio frequency instruments like signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
- Basic proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Must reside in Singapore and be willing to travel to conflict regions to support radio operations.
- Employment contingent on successful background check clearance.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Hands-on experience with IP radios or modems operation and testing.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Proficient understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Knowledge of wireless systems, RF propagation, and digital communication technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as C and C++.
- Strong organizational skills with detailed orientation and excellent communication abilities.
Working Environment
- Participation in trade shows and demonstrations, sometimes outdoors.
- Potential exposure to environmental factors like temperature extremes and allergens during field operations.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 20 pounds for setup activities.
Travel and Additional Information
- Travel requirements range from 25% to 50%, including domestic relocation support.
