Operating globally with locations across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, Shield AI actively supports mission operations worldwide.

We are looking for an International Aechelon Simulation Sales Specialist to lead growth for the Aechelon simulation portfolio in international markets. This role will work closely with regional sales leaders and teams, acting as a specialist in simulation sales by identifying, nurturing, and advancing opportunities with customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary simulation sales expert for the Aechelon portfolio across key international regions.
  • Collaborate with regional sales leadership, account holders, and business development to spot and progress simulation sales opportunities.
  • Assist in formulating account strategies, planning sales opportunities, and engaging customers regarding Aechelon solutions.
  • Help maintain and grow the sales pipeline for simulation projects, keeping track of critical pursuits, risks, and next steps.
  • Engage directly in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and follow-ups to encourage deal progression.
  • Clearly communicate the mission-relevant value of Aechelon’s simulation products in an engaging and customer-centered manner.
  • Foster relationships with defense, government, and partners internationally.
  • Align customer needs with product capabilities, coordinating closely with sales, product, and technical teams.
  • Support creation of customer-facing materials, proposals, and competitive positioning for simulation opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate demonstrations, strategic bids, and executive discussions.
  • Contribute valuable market insights and competitive analysis to refine positioning and improve win rates.
  • Encourage disciplined follow-up and execution throughout active sales pursuits.
  • Work across multiple functions including GTM, Product, Marketing, Operations, and International teams to promote simulation growth initiatives.
  • Provide field insights to enhance messaging, enablement, campaigns, and product positioning.
  • Assist with business reporting, opportunity status updates, and operational cadence to ensure alignment.
  • Help maintain internal consistency regarding priorities, customer engagement, and support requirements.

Expected Outcomes

  • Early identification and well-supported progression of international simulation sales opportunities with clear coordination.
  • Regional sales teams benefit from expert backing for Aechelon-related discussions and pursuits.
  • Customer interactions effectively link simulation solutions to training, rehearsal, readiness, and mission success.
  • Cross-functional teams work collaboratively to support international simulation growth objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Over five years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related customer-facing roles, preferably in complex technology environments.
  • Proven capability in supporting or leading complex tech sales to international enterprise, government, or defense clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, effective with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong commercial sense with ability to align technical solutions to customer value and mission goals.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple active sales opportunities and stakeholder demands.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel as required.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in simulation, training, mission systems, autonomy, aerospace, or defense technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with international sales processes, government/defense procurement, and partner-driven growth strategies.
  • Experience functioning as a specialist seller or overlay supporting regional sales teams.
  • History of supporting multi-region customers, channel partners, or strategic international projects.
  • Additional language fluency relevant to target international markets is advantageous.

Role Profile

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, commercially savvy specialist well-versed in navigating matrixed, fast-paced settings. They should confidently build credibility with customers, assist regional sales, and consistently progress complex opportunities with professionalism.
