You'll work within a dynamic Risk Consulting division equipped with advanced tools and technologies to support your professional growth while making a difference across various sectors including Government, Health, Education, and major corporates such as top 20 ASX listed companies.

This position is based in our New Zealand offices located in Auckland or Wellington and offers flexible working options including reduced hours, subject to discussion.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive risk engagements covering compliance, financial, operational, and strategic risks while coaching less experienced team members.
• Evaluate internal processes and controls using your risk expertise to identify risks and suggest improvements that elevate business performance and operational efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry changes, regulations, and emerging technologies to continually enhance audit processes and client advisory approaches.
• At managerial level: Lead multiple client portfolios, serve as a trusted advisor, and oversee the design and execution of internal audit plans, including co-sourced and outsourced arrangements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand (citizens or permanent residents).
• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, or CIPP are advantageous or to be attained within one year of hire.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in external audit and assurance for Senior Consultant roles; minimum 6 years for Manager roles.
• Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage engagements independently, ensuring timely and quality completion.
• Comprehensive understanding of business processes, risks, internal controls, and the ability to assess and improve control effectiveness.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to produce clear, high-quality reports and documentation.
