Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and driven Intermediate Accountant who will play a pivotal role in preparing management reports, financial statements, tax returns, and Business Activity Statements (BAS) across different client entities including individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and superannuation funds. This role also entails handling Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns, engaging with statutory bodies on clients’ behalf, and collaborating closely with the team to meet deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile management reports, financial statements, tax returns, and BAS accurately and timely.
- Prepare and lodge FBT returns.
- Liaise proactively with relevant statutory authorities for clients.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure client deliverables are met within designated timeframes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Possession of a degree and completion or near completion of Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Excellent organisational skills with close attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset, self-driven, and enthusiastic approach.
- Dedicated to delivering outstanding client service.
- Between two and three years of experience within a Chartered Accounting practice.
- Familiarity with accounting platforms including MYOB AE, AE Tax and Accounting, Xero, and QuickBooks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
