Role overview

Amazon Retail India Pvt Ltd (ARIPL) is looking for an Instock Manager to support its Dry Grocery business in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The role is focused on ensuring product availability for customers, because items that are not in stock cannot be sold. The position covers demand planning, purchase ordering, inventory control, and the creation of scalable processes to support multi-fold business growth over the coming years.

The role will work across multiple internal teams to shape a smooth customer experience in a scalable manner. It also involves monitoring core business metrics, turning insights into action plans, and providing leadership on supply chain matters while keeping business strategy aligned. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-moving, startup-like environment that values collaboration, flexibility, and a sense of humor.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee stock availability and inventory quality, including stronger in-stock performance, inventory planning, and structured forecasting.
  • Work with internal partners to build and improve tools and workflows used in purchasing and vendor management.
  • Lead operational improvement within the vendor base by lowering cost, defects, and lead times while encouraging innovation, automation, and scale benefits.
  • Collaborate with vendor managers to support growth in sales and profitability.
  • Perform detailed business analysis to uncover opportunities that improve cost efficiency and profitability.

Required background

  • At least 3 years of Excel experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or project management.
  • A bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain, or logistics.

Preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of statistical inventory control concepts.
  • Background in retail or wholesale business.
