Role overview
Amazon University Talent Acquisition is looking for a recruiter to help identify, attract, and hire the next generation of Amazon leaders from student talent. The role sits within the Specialty Robotics-AI recruiting team and supports hiring across technical student populations.
The right person will be comfortable building trust with stakeholders, working independently, juggling competing priorities, and using data to guide recruiting decisions. Success in this position requires confidence in high-volume and uncertain environments, strong problem-solving ability, and the ability to stay composed while managing tight deadlines.
In addition, this recruiter will apply deep talent acquisition experience to build strong relationships with business leaders, cross-functional partners, and centralized university recruiting teams.
Key responsibilities
- Work with business leaders and recruiting partners across Amazon to understand student hiring needs.
- Create fresh sourcing, attraction, assessment, and hiring approaches for specialized student roles.
- Find ways to improve candidate experience and make scheduling more efficient.
- Maintain and review candidate and campus data, analyze outcomes, and recommend process improvements.
- Design recruiting approaches that support long-term business growth and align with Amazon standards for quality and customer focus.
- Partner with full lifecycle recruiters, industry hiring teams, and stakeholders to shape an early-career talent strategy.
- Set and manage customer expectations through recurring business reviews, metrics updates, and stakeholder communication.
- Build scalable recruiting plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and tracking processes.
- Take part in special recruiting initiatives, pilots, and process improvement work.
Team context
This position is part of the Robotics-AI recruiting team. The team hires bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students in areas such as robotics, silicon, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, hardware, and related technologies. Experience recruiting in these spaces is highly valued.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 4 years of progressive technical recruiting experience in a corporate or search firm setting, including full-cycle recruiting. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required. Experience hiring for highly specialized technical areas such as robotics, AI, silicon, machine learning, embedded systems, or hardware is preferred.

This is a full-time onsite role based in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Compensation and benefits
The base pay range for this role in Seattle is USD 80,200 to 99,100 per year. The total Amazon compensation package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units. Final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
