Role overview
An established Dublin-based employer is seeking a Technical Support Analyst on a permanent basis. This position offers a team-oriented workplace, ongoing learning and development, and a clear route for professionals looking to build a long-term career in IT.
The role focuses on delivering high-level support to internal staff and ensuring key systems and infrastructure continue to run smoothly. You will serve as an escalation contact for more complex technical issues, support users across a variety of technologies, and work alongside infrastructure and systems teams to strengthen service delivery.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting under pressure, communicating clearly with non-technical and technical stakeholders, and taking a proactive approach in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical assistance to internal users across hardware, software, and cloud-based environments.
- Diagnose, investigate, and close escalated IT incidents and service requests.
- Act as an escalation contact for first-line support teams and coordinate with infrastructure and systems administrators.
- Support administration of Microsoft Azure environments.
- Help manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Keep accurate records of IT assets and support activity.
- Contribute to IT asset management and lifecycle tracking.
- Take part in IT projects such as hardware rollouts, software deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base content, and support procedures.
Required experience and skills
- Background in Technical Support, Service Desk, or IT Support Analyst roles.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems effectively.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint.
- Understanding of IT Asset Management processes.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple support issues and prioritise effectively.
- High attention to detail and a practical, proactive working style.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a technical team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical credentials.
- Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments.
